Jason sent me a new Carlos Santana, from 2010 Topps Chrome. I'm happy to add this card, especially considering I just acquired the gold version in a trade:
Good lord, look at the bend on those things. Bend it like Topps, apparently. That joke is about 8 years old and not that funny to begin with. But I stand by its mediocrity.
He also sent me a pair of Ginter cards I needed from 2010 and a bunch of other great stuff, including a stack of Mike Piazza and Roger Clemens cards. If I had a scanner, I'd show 'em off. But I don't. I will acquiesce and show off one though, because it's Mike Piazza, a mini, and harkens back to 1930s-era Goudey:
The cards I was most pleased to receive are two from 1989 Topps. Why is that, you may ask? Because it completes my 1989 Topps set! 792 cards strong, with this pair being the last of the bunch:
# 540
Bo knows he's the second-to-last '89 I needed.

# 499
Don Heinkel. A guy I've never heard of. But he completes the set.
This is the first set I've completed, and I hope the first of many. A big thanks to everyone who was kind enough to send along some '89s over the past months since I began trading. Oh, and whoever first used "Joy Of A Completed Set", kudos on coming up with a great phrase.
Thanks again for the great cards Jason, and especially for completing my first set for me! Hope you enjoy yours!

My man Sam from The Daily Dimwit is holding another great contest, with a CSN giftcard and regular old cards up for grabs. Check it out!
